Volunteer

We believe that working with nature is good for mental health and well-being, however young or old we are. The gardens and the land at Bala Brook are already well established. Our intention is to make them even more beautiful and productive.

We plan to develop a programme for volunteers to help us tend to the gardens and land. Whether you are a seasoned gardener, an experienced volunteer co-ordinator or a complete novice, we would love to hear from you. Please use the form below.

Dāna

Dāna is the practice of cultivating generosity in Indian and Buddhist thinking. It lies at the heart of Bala Brook and all that the retreat centre has to offer. We welcome contributions to our Dana Fund so that we can subsidise places on the courses and retreats run by the Trust.

We encourage independent retreat leaders who share our views to consider the idea of Dāna for their own bookings.
