With Emma Capper
Creative fun and time to just be in this beautiful place, as we tune into the spirit and energy of Bala Brook. Letting go our burdens and delighting in the colours, scents and sounds of autumn on Dartmoor
Emma Capper is the founder of Creative Journeys in Nature.
She is an artist with a love of traditional crafts and a certified nature and forest therapy guide with the ANFT. She has over 25 years experience guiding walks and facilitating groups in outdoor and indoor settings.
Forest bathing or “Shinrin-yoku”, is a health promoting practice originated in Japan.
It holds a resonance with the practice of mindfulness as a state of being in sensory immersion, translating as “bathing in the atmosphere of the forest.”
Intuitive or expressive art is the process of creating guided by what feels interesting and good to you in that moment. It is an adventure where there are no goals to make “art”. It is allowing yourself to be open to the curiosity, magic and delight of being present on the journey.
Both these practices focus on enhancing your intuition which always has your best interests at heart, helping you make decisions and honouring your needs.
Over the three days, working in partnership with the land and the elements I will offer you:

- Time to play and create
- Time to reflect together and alone
